Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. The actress began her career as an actress in the late 1980s. She became famous for the film Tezaab starring veteran actor Anil Kooor. The next film she appeared in was Dil in which she starred alongside Aamir. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she began learning to dance at an early age. As a young woman when she began to act, she had a difficult time as a majority of her films were flops. In the end, she was successful in Indian cinema and rose to the top. After marriage, she experienced a career break before reentering the industry. More recently she played in a crucial part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women across India. Dixit was nominated for the fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. She was also honored with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. She is also recognized for her charity work.
