Angelica Panganiban (born Angelica Panganiban) is a Filipino American model, television host, and comedian. Panganiban is often referred to as the "new Queen of Drama" by numerous media publications. She is also recognized as being one of the Philippines' most experienced and versatile actors. The term angelica roots means that only the roots of the plant are used. Angelica Hale, then 4 years old, became extremely sick in 2012 due to an infection caused by strep bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston were where she was treated for her life-saving illness using the ECMO-based Life Support. The patient was suffering from numerous organ problems, including failing kidneys. Hemodialysis and later peritoneal dialysis became her new normal. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital Angelica appeared to be dying but was on the road towards recovery. After a year and a half of dialysis Angelica was ready for the largest surgery in her life: a kidney transplant. She would receive the donated kidney from her mother. Angelica and mom had an operation that was successful on September 13, 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals situated across from one another. Angelica Hale, a young Atlantan girl who always dreamed of becoming an actress and singer, is still pursuing that goal.
